No comments box at end of posts despite being ticked in Settings-Discussion

I have just added a blog to my website, jannaschreier.com but I can not get a comments box to come up on the posts within the ‘Blog’ page. I don’t know any code so if I need to change this I would need help finding where the code is. I do have the Settings-Discussion box ticked to ‘allow people to comment’ but no joy. I think I may have ticked something 3 years ago when I set the website up and didn’t want comments, but I have spent hours and can not find it anywhere. When I look at the post in the back section it doesn’t mention comments so I have no box to tick. When I look at the Blog page it just says ‘no comments yet’ but does not give a box to tick (presumably it is selected if it is telling me there are no comments yet). Would very much appreciate any help. Thank you.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

That looks like a static page to me, not a blog posts page. Please review this http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/

Thanks very much for helping me. I have read that and it seems to be as your link says it should be. My home page is static but I have selected Blog as my posts page. If you click on the Blog tab on my website you can then click again on the title of the post to get the post to come up. That is when I am expecting a comments box to show. Have I got this right?

So, it definitely isn’t static. I have tested it by adding a second post and it comes up fine. The second post even has a comments box! So I just need to know how to get a comments box on the first post. Can anyone tell me how I might do this? Or can I not add one after it has first been published? Thanks for any help.
