No confirmation message when booking form is submitted

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hello,

I have a BOOK NOW contact form on my website: sunshine-cleaning.org

It has worked fine for the last year or so and then since around 4 weeks ago they have stopped coming to my email inbox.

I have checked the email address etc … nothing changed, they just suddenly stopped.

    Any suggestions/advice?

    Thanks in advance

I await your response to sunshine-cleaning. I too am not receiving the confirmation email when my contact form is completed at mytimeout.net

    Hi @sunshinecleaninginberlin and @mainebrook,

In both cases, it looks like we’re sending the emails to the email address you currently have on file. For @sunshinecleaninginberlin, the last one was sent on Aug. 19th at 08:19:36. For @mainebrook, the last email notification was sent on Aug 17th at 04:11:45.

Can you confirm this didn’t arrive in your spam folder or another Gmail tab?

    Hi Jeremeylduvall,
No, these did not arrive in my spam nor do I see them in any other gmail tab. The last email I received from a ‘form’, was on 8/16.

    Hello,

    Thanks for your help.

Whoops! Yes, they are in the spam folder. Sorry, I don’t know why after a year they started going there but that’s a gmail issue.
I have a message saying ‘pending email change’ where my old email address is in settings. I received an email with confirmation email to the old address saying ‘we recentky received a request to change your email address from xxx to xxx if this request was not made by you, please respond immediately.

If you did make this request, you can safely ignore and delete this email.

BUT … it still didn’t change to the correct one….???

    @mainebrook

No, these did not arrive in my spam nor do I see them in any other gmail tab. The last email I received from a ‘form’, was on 8/16.

The last contact form submission on your site was on 8/16 as shown here:

    https://timeoutime.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=feedback

Can you confirm that you did receive that one? It looks like there is a submission from 8/17 in your trash here:

    https://timeoutime.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_status=trash&post_type=feedback

Did you move that item to the trash manually or was it trashed as a result of being marked as spam?

    @sunshinecleaninginberlin

Whoops! Yes, they are in the spam folder. Sorry, I don’t know why after a year they started going there but that’s a gmail issue.

Great! Glad to know they still arrived.

BUT … it still didn’t change to the correct one….???

In order for the email change to take effect, you will need to click the confirmation link that is sent to the new email address (the one you’re changing to). Did you get an email there as well?

  • Unknown's avatar

No, I did not move that item to the trash manually. I went there on its own. BUT – I think I see what is happening! I did receive the contact form submission on 8/16. That information is for the form under page -http://mytimeout.net/buy-a-fundraiser-t-shirts/

But I am NOT receiving the contact form submissions for the form under page – http://mytimeout.net/bible-verses/ – show on 8/15.

Does this mean my site can only have one form?

  • Unknown's avatar

It went there on its owe..

    Hi CharMaine!

You can have multiple contact forms on your site. You aren’t limited to one. I just filled out the form with test information. My submission is appearing in your feedback section here:

    https://timeoutime.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=feedback

Can you let me know if you see it there and have received an email notification as well?

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi Jeremey!
Yes, I can see your form information here – https://timeoutime.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=feedback

But I did not receive the email for your test.

(FYI – I did receive an email yesterday, from my other order form)

    Hi!

Can you try setting a different notification email address for your second contact form (on the “Bible Verses” page)? Instructions for doing that can be found here:

    http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact-form/#notification-preferences

From what I can gather, if you have two contact forms on the same blog that are set to deliver to the same address, the second of the two will not work. However, changing the delivery address seemed to solve the problem.

Let me know if it works for you!

Hi Jeremey, Sorry for the delay in responding. But no, I changed the delivery email address, and it didn’t work.

I really appreciate your help. I will continue to search for my responses through ‘ Feedback.

    Thx!!

    Hi @mainebrook,

I just tested this out again, and now, I’m receiving notifications from both contact forms regardless of what email is set as the delivery address. Can you try removing the contact forms and then re-adding them to the page?
