No connection with my blog

This problem has currently resolved itself, but it did cause me several unpleasant hours, so I would like to know what was the reason behind it, just in case it ever comes back.
Starting yesterday afternoon (my time zone) I could not access my blog, wp-admin or this forum. I could access the Reader though and I was logged in. I’m still setting up the blog, so I had not done anything specific, I don’t use any plugins or widgets.
I tried accessing from two different computers, three different browsers, but no result. This lasted for around 12 hours.
As I said, all fine now – all by itself – but if I just could know what happened, that would save me a lot of trouble, should there be a next time.

I don’t know what caused your issue. Maybe you were not logging in correctly.

You have to be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard.
