no custom field

  Hi there!

  for any reason I do not have a custom and excerpt field.
  do I have to activate them somehow?
  or do I need an CSS upgrade to get them?

  my dashboard – post – add new site where the custom and excerpt field should be, looks like this:

  WordPress.COM does not support custom fields. Those are only for self-hosted wordpress sites.

  Typically the excerpt module will be down below the text area in the post editor. If it isn’t, go to the top right of the editor page, click “screen options” and click to activate it. It should then appear down below the text area.

  The Excerpt function
