No delete option for a category

  How do I delete a category that does not have a delete option!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  That’s probably the category that’s currently set as your default category. You must first go to Settings > Writing and select a different category as your “Default Post Category”.

  Justpi – thank you!!! I was a grown man nearly in tears yesterday…;-). It just happened to be a category I had misspelled and I couldn’t get rid of it. I was getting ready to scrap the entire blog. Thank you again!
