No DELETE option under Tools

Hi all,
I can see where it should be according to: http://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/
But the only thing I have under Available Tools is Press This and Import / Export.
I’ve checked, and I am definitely the Administrator for my site!
Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I read elsewhere that:
You must be logged in under the exact same username account that registered a blog to delete the blog.
Is it possible that the option doesn’t appear because the other Administrator helped me set the blog up at the outset?

We cannot help you here with that site. We provide support only for free hosted WordPress.COM blogs and you are posting to the wrong support forum.
WordPress.com and WordPress.org have different log-ins and run different versions of themes with same names. If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.

Aha! Think I have found an answer via a knowledgeable friend.
It seems my blog / site is a hosted site so the way to delete it would be with the host (1&1).
