No ‘edit’ link on most pages

  Hi

  At the moment on most of the pages on my blog the ‘edit’ link (the word ‘edit’ under the page title on the actual page) does not appear. If I edit the page via the dashboard the changes don’t take effect. There are images on those pages that I have eliminated from the images gallery and from the page yet they still appear, I’ve even tried replacing them with other images.
  A few pages work fine.

  I obsess with the layout and keep making many changes and wonder if I have freaked out the software and it is annoyed with me (!)

  I noticed in another forum post someone mentioned cleaning out a cache, because I keep making constant changes is there some (unknown to me) cache I should purge?

  Here’s a bit more info . . .

  the page titled ‘Set Sail’ works fine and has ‘edit’ link and even the newest version of a text widget.
  the page ‘Sydney to Vila’ is faulty and shows an old widget I have deleted totally.
  the page ‘Vila Vacation’ is also faulty and shows neither widget and the image of the blue stamp is an example of an image that just won’t disappear even though I have deleted it and tried to add another image in its place.

  PS. I am a novice learning by trial and error. Sorry !
