no “edit” or “remove” on widget

    My blog url is http://pragmaticcompendium.wordpress.com/

I added a text widget and now I can’t remove it. There is no “edit” link on the widget itself, there is no “remove” option for it anywhere. Dragging it off the widget bar and saving won’t remove it.

It is a text widget and I was experimenting. I put an image link inside the text box. The image doesn’t appear, just the title. I just want to remove it. Any ideas?

    I’m using Firefox 2.0.0.14

I see edit links on all widgets.
Can you try with another browser?

Thank you, sir! IE7 displayed the links and I was able to delete the widget.

Do you know if attempting to insert an image link into the text box had anything to do with it? I hesitate to mess around with that again if it’s not supposed to be used in that way. Someone gave me an award and I was going to put her graphic in in the side bar with a link to her sight. I can stick to text links if image links can’t be inserted in the sidebar.

Thanks again for the quick and perfect answer!

    That shouldn’t have done it.

What I do to make sure I make no mistakes in code is to compose the widget as a Draft post, so I can use the visual editor. Then I click to the HTML editor and copy the code and put that in the text widget.

LOVE that idea! Thanks so much!
