No ‘Editor’ Option

  I am trying to insert my Google AdSense activation code into my WordPress account. I am told that to do so, the code must be inserted through the Editor option, found in the Appearance tab. Through many theme changes, the Editor button never appears. How do I gain access to Editor and/or how can I insert this code properly?

  I still need to know where my Editor tab went within the Appearance option on the Admin side of my website.
