No Email Verification Email

  Hello!

  I’m having issues with WordPress because I just bought a domain name, moderncoders.net, and I was told that I needed to verify my email. I got other emails, like “thank you for making a WordPress site” or something like that, but I never received an email for verifications. What should I do about this?!? Can anyone please help?

  Hi flightisfun01,

  Did you happen to change the email address of your account after purchasing the domain name?

  As an possible example:
  1. You originally your account email address was (email visible only to moderators and staff)
  2. –> and then after buying moderncoders.net
  3. –> you created a different email address such as (email visible only to moderators and staff)
  4. –> Then set that as your WordPress.com account’s email address?

  I’m just inquiring because if you did change the account’s email address — WordPress.com would send a confirmation email to the new email address.

  However, because your email address is so new as is your domain name. I’m assuming you literally bought your domain name today — sometimes, there may be some lag time as your domain name hasn’t fully propagated through out servers across the Internet.

  I’ve made some assumptions here, so feel free to correct me where necessary — and we can see if we can resolve the problem you’re facing.

  I didn’t change the email, although I did just buy the domain name yesterday. Has it just not come yet? What would happen to the domain if it never came? Is there a way to resend it?

  Hi flightisfun01,

  Your domain name is moderncoders.net correct? The website seems to load when I enter in the URL so I imagine you must have purchased it. Have you checked your email spam folder just in case it got stuck there?

  Alternatively, assuming you purchased the domain name through WordPress.com — you should be able to go into your purchase history in your WordPress.com account to determine whether the transaction went through.

  I did buy it from WordPress.com. The email isn’t in the spam folder. Is there any problem if I can’t get my email verified?

  Hi flightisfun01,

  If you literally just purchased the domain name from WordPress.com yesterday, it may still take a couple of days until you receive an email asking you to verify your email address.

  The email will be coming from ICANN and should look something like what is detailed out here:
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/register-domain/

  As the page outlines, if you don’t receive this email, you’ll want to contact support directly using the “Contact Support” option on this page:
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/
