No email when new member joins

    I’ve only received one email out of five attempts when a member signs up. Even then, the email I received just said he was joining – it gave no option to ‘approve’ him and he is still unable to ‘sign in’. I’ve triple checked my settings and email address – still four attempts failed. I even tried a new theme with no change. What am I missing? Should I add a plugin? This seems very wrong.

    Hi there, you’re pointing to a site whose last post was in 2010. Is the above site at tradebuz.wordpress.com the site you need help with?

    If you by chance are talking about a site using the standalone WP software with 3rd party hosting, you’ll want to head over to the support forums at http://wordpress.org/support If you don’t have a username there you can register one on that page.

    WordPressdotcom (where we are) and standalone WordPress are different entities. You can find out more about that here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
