No empty line after numbered list

My first paragraph following a numbered list appears immediately after the list without a blank line. Going into the HTML editor and adding
inserts a blank line. So I have a solution. But wanted to check whether this was correct behaviour. Everywhere else, a blank line is automatically inserted between paragraphs. Why not after a numbered list? (And maybe bullet list too: I haven’t tested that.)See the last line of this page that I’ve left without the

I cannot type the non-breaking spaces nbsp; code here in a forum thread its complete form as the software will retract it. I will type it below with spaces between the all characters that must be removed when you edit the post in the HTML (TEXT) editor to enter it.

Oops! I hadn’t gone back and looked at my post once I’d hit submit. Yes, that’s the code that I had put in the code boxes that have come up blank. As I said, I had found the solution (which is to insert that code.)
But doesn’t answer my question, which is why isn’t there a blank line anyway between the numbered list and the next paragraph? It seems odd to me that a blank line is automatically inserted between paragraphs in other situations, it isn’t inserted after the list.

I don’t have an answer for why the software does not automatically provide a non-breaking space after a numbered list. Hi @auntyclare , thanks for letting us know . It looks like it’s just a style specification in your theme, but I’ve filed a request pointing it out and suggesting a change.
In the meantime, do feel free to add those spaces, and I’ll update here if I hear more.
