no excerpt support in Escutcheon?

In the features list Escutcheon says it supports “Blog Excerpts”, and indeed the preview image is suggestive of this. I’ve been using this theme some weeks now, and cannot see anywhere the option of displaying excerpts through theme customisations. I’ve a feeling I’ve been duped. Unless someone can point out otherwise, I don’t believe Escutcheon in itself supports excerpts. Anyone?

You’re absolutely right. I don’t know why they weren’t showing up here, before. I’m trying to replicate the conditions to see why they might now show.
Most of the time it shows up, but for example just now my blog failed to show the excerpts. Other than that, the site looked as it should. I refreshed the page and then the excerpts showed.
This is very bizarre. My website isn’t complicated – no CSS, no Plug-Ins, only 1 basic widget. I’m trying to recreate the conditions to replicate the problem, but thus far haven’t worked out any systematic pattern that might cause the excerpts to not show. At least for now the excerpts show more often than not.
