NO Featured Post

Hi,
I dont get the featured Post or featured Content to work.
I used the Tag “featured” in two of my Storys and also used it under Featured Content as tag. But instad of getting bigger on the main page the two storys disappeared fron the main page ???what was wrong ?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
It seems you have a static home page. Try going to Customize > Front Page and select “Latest Posts”.

Here’s how you can “Featured Post” on top of all other posts, you can also say it as a pinned post too.
Here’s how to do that> login to your WordPress.com account
Go to My Sites > Select your site>
Manage > click on the button “Blog Posts”Select the post which you have to feature and then click “Edit”
> On the right-hand side you’ll see option “
Settings > “Status” > Stick to the front page ( click on that radio button) click “Update”
Now visit your Posts page and see if it’s pinned on the top.Hope this answers your question.

Iam using the theme AltoFocus.
In the Preview / Demo the Pictures on the Main Page have a different sice.
On my page thay all have the same sice, why ?
How can i change the sice ?
I thought its with “Featured Content” but this doesnt work in any way.

thankyou, but i think i got in in the meanwhile !
But it would be cool, to set the front page more playful. With some smaler and some larger images. The “feature” – option helps in that way. But the most pictures are still the same sice.

You can get more of a variety of sizes – like you see on the demo – by varying the aspect ratios of your images as well as varying their order more, so landscape images are more interspersed with portrait orientation images, for example.

I think thay are published only in order of publication ?
( Except of fixing it on the start page )

hi, when adding in text html code like amazon product code it shows it correctly but when you press update to save it shows codes instead of the banner. how do I solve that.

I did some testing and was able to get a post both stickied and appearing as Featured Content. In order to do it, I had to unsticky and then resticky the post in the editor, after adding the featured tag.
Let me know how it goes.

but when i look at the page later, in this case about after an hour, its not working anymore ?

The funny thing, it works for a short time, about an hour. But when i open the website later its only a sticky post, not a featured content anymore.

I think I see what might be happening – the “featured” tag is getting removed from one of the posts, even though you can see it in the “featured” tag archive here:

We’ve had several reports of this “missing featured tag” issue across WordPress.com, but unfortunately so far we have not been able to replicate it or find the cause.
If you don’t mind doing a little experiment, you could try this:
– Change the featured tag to another word in the Customizer’s Featured Content panel, such as “newfeatured”
– Change the featured tag to “newfeatured” (or whatever you choose) on those two posts
