No help in reconfiguring my DNS settings
-
I have been trying to reconfigure your DNS settings to point the domain at your Shopify-hosted storefront. I accidently deleted my A record. I believe that my root domain (A record) must point to Shopify’s IP address, which is 23.227.38.32
I want my subdomains (CNAME records) to point to my Shopify-hosted domain:
https://cbelegance.myshopify.com
They also informed me to use the provider’s email client, and configure my MX records.
Please help me do this. Thank you.

I have been trying to reconfigure my DNS settings to point the domain at my Shopify-hosted storefront. This is the info that Shopify gave to me. Sorry for the errors.
I am changing from Big Cartel to Shopify. Thanks for your help.

Hi Carol.
I followed Shopify’s instructions here to add the needed CNAME and A record to your DNS records:
https://docs.shopify.com/manual/settings/domains/third-party-domains/general-instructions
You’ll be able to see these if you head to your Domains page here:
Click the Edit button next to your domain and then Edit DNS from the resulting window.
So, the first three steps in Shopify’s setup stages have been completed. :) Could you complete step number four in the guide I linked to? It’s titled Claim your domain in Shopify. Let me know how that goes. :)

Hi Siobhyb,
I cannot remember how to navigate to the DNS settings, but it looks like everything is okay! I have claimed my domain, I believe…:)
Thank you so much for your help!
