No idea how to set up my blog on Filezilla

I’m trying to get a theme I downloaded set up as my wordpress theme. I read I can do this using filezilla, or another ftp, but i have no idea how to do this. I’ve tried to log in to my wordpress account via filezilla but no luck. I also have a domain that is mapping to my wordpress blog so tried that too, but no idea what i’m doing.
Can anyone help me?

You need to head over to http://wordpress.ORG/support/ . This forum is for those hosted here in the wordpress.COM free hosting service. We don’t even know how to spell FTP.

If so, then you cannot use any themes other than those in your dashboard. The themes that you download are for self-hosted blogs only (see https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/please-read-me-first-before-posting?replies=1 ) We fo not have ftp access here.
