No images are showing on site!!

Hi, I’ve been having problems like this for the past three days now. My blog address is:http://biasonus.wordpress.com. I can no longer see my blogroll at all, which wasn’t a problem until very recently. I even went in and made sure each one was assigned to a category, as advised in the FAQs. Worse still, I just installed the first text widget I’ve ever attempted and can’t see it. I followed the directions very carefully and was given some sort of confirmation screen so it appeared to have worked. I just joined John Reese’s “BlogRush”, which is where I got the widget from. I received an email from him today stating that some people were hiding the widget or making it invisible on their pages, which is somehow cheating the system they have set up and that these accounts will be deleted from participating if this isn’t changed. Please help. Thanks

Hi all.
I’m having a similar problem, although it happens when I try to upload an image. When I do, it just shows up as the filename and not the actual image. Even when I select “Full Size”

I just experienced the same thing on one of my own blogs. I chose to delete the uploaded image and go without for now. Hopefully staff will have this problem under control soon.

Looks like it’s an intermittent problem as it doesn’t happen all the time… only now and again.

Nah – my guess is that staff are working hard in the background and fixed it for you. ;)

Have you considered linking your username to your blog?
Linking your username to your wp.com blog in the forum
(1) Go up to the top right hand corner of this forum page and look for “Welcome,sbeshonertor! View your profile” and click “View your profile”.
(2) Next click “edit this information”.
(3) Complete the fields being sure that where it says website that you enter http://insertyourblognamehere.wordpress.com (no period at the end or the link won’t work)
(4) Once you’re done click “Update Profile”. Voila! Now every time you sign into the forum we can click on your username and your blog will be linked to it.
(5) Also note that there is a complete record of every post that you make to the forum on your forum profile page. Everyone in the forum can access it by simply clicking on “Member” next to your username. -
I’ve just posted a post with images… timestamped it and viewing it now… and nope… no images… just the filenames… clicking on the filenames… and nothing… Still… thankfully these problems don’t last long here at WordPress… Compared to other social networks, WordPress kicks butt when it comes to it’s customer support… that’s why I use it :-)

There are several threads on image problems and header problems going right now. Maybe starting another thread is not a good idea. I’ll leave that up to you to decide.

Yep, looks like an uploading problem… anyway… leave it to WordPress… I’m sure it’ll be sorted in the blink of an eye…

I spoke too soon methinks! They all disappeared, then came back and now some have vanished again.

Really strange problem this one… if I go in to edit my posting (which is timestamped to show up tomorrow) I see the images, however when I view the posting… only filenames of the images… click on ’em.. and nothing…

Yay! Seems to be working now :-) See what I meant earlier about WordPress’ customer service and support? Now if every social network site had the same level of customer service…

Boy is this annoying. I am having the same problem of disappearing jpeg images. Blue box with text title at top, but no photo images. Nothing to anchor to post.
