no individual page for every post
-
I would like to eliminate the unique webpage for for every post. My hope is to have the posts appear on the main pages and in the cateogry pages only.
I was able to accomplish this with Blogger by setting the “Enable Post Pages” option to “NO”.
Is this possible with WordPress?

You could do it with the regular wordpress software but, if you did it here, since we’re on a shared environment, it’ll just change it for everybody.

Wow… you guys are fast. I appreciate the quick answers. Thanks!
I am glad to hear that it can be done with the regular wordpress. I plan to use it but am experimenting here first.
If I turn off the individual post pages do you know if commenting on a post is still possible?
Thanks again!

any questions about how the self-hosted software works are probably best handled at http://wordpress.org/support

Yes, but it’s a pain. Getting posts to display on the main pages of a blog takes some work and is theme dependant.
But as judy mentions, this really should be taking place over at wp.org. may want to do a search as both topiucs have been discussed previously. Also do a Google search for Flatpress. That maybe something that may work better for you.
Hope this helps,
