No like button despite having it activated

  The ‘like’ button doesn’t appear on my posts. I thought it did, because I do get likes for some posts, but have just been informed that my followers can only see a like button on the emails they subscribe to. I’ve been through the settings, and each post individually and made sure the button is turned on, but it makes no difference.

  My theme is The Chateau Theme. Is this perhaps a problem with the theme?

  Hi there,

  There is a setting which you may have missed in your Dashboard which is preventing the likes from pulling up on your posts. I would have corrected the setting, but as you’ll see when you go to the page there are some choices you’ll need to make on where you want them to show up.

  If you go to your Dashboard and then to Settings >> Sharing, you’ll see a section called “Show buttons on”. You’ll need to check the box for each location which you want them to appear.

  After that, hit save and they should appear immediately!

  I have my like button there! Hurrah! Thank you very much, it’s been missing (little did I know) for five months, so I may well have been far more popular than I realised heh.
