no longer available – username

  i recently mapped my pooljournal.co domain to my wordpress.com site (which at the time was poolmag.wordpress.com)

  i then wanted to change my username from poolmag to pooljournal so it matched my domain name.

  now if i try go to either website:
  pooljournal.co
  pooljournal.wordpress.com
  poolmag.wordpress.com

  i get a message saying “poolmag.wordpress.com is no longer available.” and that i’ve deleted it?

  how did that happen? can i fix it? why isnt pooljournal.co working?
  what do i do now?

  http://pooljournal.co/ works just fine for me. It sounds like you did delete it when you changed to pooljournal.wordpress.com. Then you did the domain mapping properly for your custom domain, and you checked before the DNS was properly settled out. Essentially you changed domains three times, so it would result in a period of chaos before everything settled down. It’s all working normally now.

  that’s interesting raincoaster – it still not working for me. Either of the websites.

  it still goes to: “the authors have deleted this site”

  maybe i’ll give it a few for hours to sort itself out.

  Yes, it generally takes up to 72 hours and the owner is teh LAST person to see it working right.
