No longer getting email alerts from wordpress

    Since this morning’s post, I am no longer receiving email alerts from wordpress. I checked settings and everything seems to be okay, and I checked my email spam folder and they are not there.     I checked with my provider and the mailbox was full. I have raised my quota to unlimited. Thank you so much for your quick response to my issue.

    I’m having the same issues as those above. Sept 5th 2015.
    Last week it was ‘blinking’ really blinking notifications on the sites.
    I haven’t changed anything in my settings – have you? My mailbox doesn’t have any limits and I’ve never had an issue like this before. This particular (my) e-mail account was set up just to receive WP notifications (99.9) but I’ll check if all my mail has stopped.
    Thanks for looking into this.

    Can I ask what are you folks at WP are working on this time that has changed how we get our e-mail?

    Yes, it is just WP notifications that are not getting to my e-mail inbox. It is not full. I just sent myself a note via a different account to my own ‘WP’ e-mail account and it came through just fine.

    At least we are still getting notifications at our WP sites. But this is a tad annoying.

    OK, I just got a new notice from my site in my inbox.
    Sept 5, 2015 – at about 9:45 am my time.
    Hopefully the issue is fixed.
    Though I doubt the older notices will show up.

    I haven’t received any old notifications either. Is it possible to get these back supernova?

    OK not everything is fixed. Got notification for a different WP blog about an hour ago (now it is about 1:20 pm Sept 5, 2015) and it did not show up in my email inbox.

    Guess one step at a time…

    WP folks if you are having the weekend off – Enjoy some family time.
    But can you maybe fix this issue by Tuesday?

    And to Mr.Bisogno… I don’t care about getting the old stuff…in my inbox. The last time something like this happened the old stuff never came through. I just want the problem to be fixed and not messed with in the future. I’ve gotten other mail. But only two things from one of my sites in my email inbox. But then it could just be a slow day?

    I just hope one fix doesn’t make another mess. I am an optimist.

    This is also happening to me, as of the 5th of September. The wordpress app shows I have new comments but they’re not going through to my email. I prefer to see new comments via email because the app is often flaky about updating the list of notifications. I use gmail, so there’s no way my inbox is full.

    Hope this is an easy fix.

  • @julespaige and @katiefoolery , your issues are not actually the same as the one @mrbisogno had. His problem was that his mailbox was full, so feel free to check that with your mail providers.

    If you still need help, please start a new thread and tag it “modlook.” That will help us see more information about your account while we help each of you.

    I’ll close this thread out before it gets too complex.

    @mrbisogno – I can’t resend old notifications that were rejected, but you will get all new notifications from here. Cheers!
