no longer have access to old email, need to change email address associated w ac

    I have a very old email address associated with this account and I no longer have access to it. When I attempt to change the email, it says it is pending and (I assume) has sent an email to my old email address for confirmation. But I can’t access that old address to confirm. (I also cannot receive email notifications for this reason)
    How can I change the email associated with my wordpress account?

    Hi there,

    When changing the email address associated with your WordPress.com account you’ll receive an email on the new address, not the old one.

    Therefore you need to check your current email address. If you’re not able to find the email, check the spam folder in case it has been landed in there.

    I have this same issue. I no loner have access to my old email and I don’t know how to sign in in order to change to my new one. Please help!

    Hi vermonter123 –

    We will require proof of ownership in order to grant access to that account. This is the only way forward if you don’t have access to the email address on the account.
