No Longer See My Site Name

  Has WP recently upgraded. I used to see my site name in the top menu, but now all I see is ‘My Site.’ I apologize, I’m a noob at building websites.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi @nemodefendersdmc, no worries. If you’re referring to the top left corner of our admin bar, it’s been set to “My Site” for some time. I see the correct site name when I visit your site, though.

  Do you need more help with this?

  I just realized you may also be referring to http://tampadefenderslemc.com/wp-admin , too. The My Site interface here at WordPress.com is a bit different, so I could see how that would look like an upgrade. It’s meant to allow you to manage more than one site if you need to.

  I no longer see my url beside the “My Site” button, if that’s normal, all is well. I just recently downloaded WP and it was there, after logging out and back in it ess gone. Thought maybe I had done something. Sorry I’m really new to web development and WP.

  Well that’s to bad I guess, I started out wanting the WordPress.com plan and I thought that was what I was paying for, somehow I guess I was redirected to Bluehost. I guess I’m stuck with them for the next three years since I’ve already paid for the subscription. Not sure I’m happy about this.

  You can move your site to us if you’d like: https://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-from-self-hosted-wordpress-to-wordpress-com/

  And, you can map your domain to that when you’re done re-building it: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

  But, we aren’t affiliated with Bluehost, so we can’t help out with ending that three-year plan.
