No more fullscreen editing

Today I discovered the disappearance of what made composing a post easy for me. I can’t stand trying to organize a post with pictures in a tiny space, so always opted to use the fullscreen editing mode. Alas, it is gone. Going fullscreen now only means that “distracting” buttons on the periphery disappear. I don’t care about that, I want to write so I can see what I’m doing, see whole images at once, and not have to click on the scroll bar to navigate in a mini box to write in. Please, please, and pretty please with sugar on top, give us back the ability to edite fullscreen.

Here’s a screen shot of a post in “fullscreen” editing mode. As you can see, most the space is wasted. The “fullscreen” is no larger than editing in the conventional mode. Ah, the blessed joy of fullscreen editing. It is sorely missed.fullscreen editing
Also, WHERE IS THE BUTTON TO ADD IMAGES?! And the buttons are now squeezed onto two rows just to fit in the new, narrow fullscreen view.
I’m confused. How about a fullscreen, fullscreen mode, that also allows you to insert images? Would be awesome and greatly appreciated.

I think you may be referring to the distraction free writing issue. There is a thread tagged for Staff support on this issue is here https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/distraction-free-writing-mode-now-distracting?replies=2 Please post into it.

I will respond there. Also, keep in mind, when you click on the button, the text says, “fullscreen”. I understand “fullscreen” to mean “fullscreen”. I will attach a pic with screen shots of a post in both modes, showing clearly that “fullscreen” allows even less space to work in than does the standard mode. Thanks for replying! :-)
