NO MORE GRAPHICS!…………HELP!

  I’VE BEEN POSITNG DAILY WITH FULL COLOR GRAPHICS AND PICS…NOW ALL OF A SUDDEN I CAN’T UPLOAD OR COPY ANY GRAPHICS OR PICS WHATSOEVER………WHAT HAPPENED? DID I TOUCH SOMETHING THAT CHANGED FORMATTING? I HAVE REBOOTED THE SYSTEM AND SHUTDOWN WORDPRESS NUMEROUS TIMES TO NO AVAIL…………CAN ANYBODY HELP? THANKS!

  (1) Please stop SHOUTING. No one wants to be shouted at. And in the cyberworld typing in all capitals is rude and may draw you exactly the opposite of the attention that you are seeking.

  (2) You have linked your wordpress.com username to a loud flashing graphics rich landing page that I immediately clicked out of. That page lacks any links to any other pages in the blog and you have supplied no links to the pages with the alleged graphic problems. So I’ll leave this to some other blogger to answer while I’m eating lunch.

  hmm I aplogize for the caps…I was aware of the shouting..I’m just at a loss. The graphics no longer show in my actual postings as they did just yesterday. As for the links, yes I’ll handle that too. Thanks

  In order to help you we need to be able to identify exactly which pages the graphics disappeared from.
  (1) Please post the links to the posts where the images disappeared from.
  (2) Do you see the images that “disappeared” from your posts here -> Manage -> Uploads -> Browse All?

  Separate issue:
  There is a trend these days to create graphics rich landing pages and assign them as static front pages on blogs. When you do this you compel every repeat visitor you have to go through the process of landing on the same flashy page again and again and again in order to click yet another link to get to your posts. As the reason visitors come to your blog is presumably to read your posts, the flashy graphics landing page can become a PITA very quickly.

  More to the point is this: a significant part of how your blog’s ranking is determined is by the value of the posts, comments and links on your front page. By using a trendy, flashy landing page as a static front page you are giving google diddly squat to rank your blog with. Is that what you really want?
