No New Followers for days, usually get 10 per day

Add topic to favorites
No new followers in 3 days after averaging 10+ followers a day for months.

This happened to me a few months ago as well and I posted on the forum. The situation was resolved shortly after my post but I can’t find that original post on the forums.

Any help would be appreciated.

I’m still looking for help on this.

I know Support is now reduced only to paying members but it seems like this would be something simple if someone would look at my site and turn-on followers, which are apparently turned off.

Our stats are not real time stats and take time to update. Visitors and views take the longest to update. I’ll tag this thread for Staff to take a look at your stats. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

I don’t see a follow blog widget on your blog.

You can set up email subscriptions here > Appearance > Widgets > Follow Blog Widgets by using this guide > http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/follow-blog-widget/

If you would like a follow button to appear on the bottom right hand corner of your site for those who do not have WordPress.com accounts go to > Settings > Reading and scroll down to Follower Settings:

These settings change emails sent from your blog to followers.
Logged out users __ Show follow button to logged out users.

Checking this will present a follow button to logged out users in the bottom corner of their screen.

You can customize the contact form with multiple fields, change the email address where you’ll be notified, and mark feedbacks as spam from your dashboard. http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact-form/

Thank you for the reply. I added the follow button and changed the follow setting for logged-out users. I don’t think I had turned those things off, maybe there was a general format change for WP?

Not sure, hopefully the follows go back up after this adjustment.

Hi Tom,
Hopefully the follows will go up again. As for me, I think followers and likes are cool, but not all followers comment and some followers are like button spammers, whose likes we cannot remove and whose following we cannot block. Comments are gold.

No change. I get a follower every three or four days now so at least it’s not completely broken.

It’s just odd to go from such a steady stream to almost nothing.

Yeah, I agree with that. But, to be honest, that is the way things go with stats and followers. Sometimes it is super steady and sometimes it is feast or famine.
