No notification mails are sent – how to fix?

    Hi,
    I have been trying for longer time now to make WordPress sent notification emails to followers of my blog if new comments or statements are posted. They follow the blog, and their settings also determine that there should be email-notifications on each event.
    What could I do do make WordPress send email notifications to all registered users of my private blog?
    Hope anyone can help out. Thanks!

    Hi there,

    You can’t do anything to ensure notifications are sent out to your followers. Email subscription settings can only be controlled by the person who owns the email address, not by the person who owns the site.

    WordPress.com followers will only receive your posts in the Reader, unless they specifically activate email notifications in their accounts.

    To check on this I’ll need the people not receiving emails to post here themselves, or at the very least I’ll need their email addresses to check their settings.
