no one’s writing to me???

  Please help…I am feeling unwanted. First time I have blogged and no one seems to notice…how do I make people read by post?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Try doing a search of the forum for tips; there are over a thousand here. And ALWAYS leave a link to your blog when you ask a question, or link your username to your blog under Website on your Profile page.

  Also, for every 700 or so views, you can expect ONE comment. Don’t get your hopes up unless you yourself spend a decent part of every day leaving comments on other people’s blogs (and then, only if you link your username like I said above).

  700:1? I’m either doing something really right, or really wrong.

  suesi, something I did when I started was luck into a community of like-minded bloggers. They found me through the WordPress tag/categories. We all basically started together and (somewhat inadvertently) helped each other grow. So if you want to find people with interests similar to yours, try using the tag system to find bloggers who are just starting out as well.

  You’re doing something really right: you have built a community, and it’s a two-way street. You comment around. Since more and more people are using RSS feeds, they don’t comment as much. My ratio used to be 1 comment per 100 hits.

  you advise to

  but I cannot find “website on my Profile page”?? Nor do I see a way to leave a link when I ask a question?

  now if you’d just left your blog url here i would have had a look and commented…just to be nice.

  a marketer would say “understand your target audience and publicise your blog to them”

  I’d always leave my blog url like this: http://blog.kothea.com in a post if I wanted someone to read it.

  Hi Kothea’ I know it’s a drag getting started ,but all we can do is just keep writing and you will be surprised how many people read but just don’t comment or are rude, or both.
  But if you keep on writing then you are doing the most important thing .
  So can i say welcome and long may you continue,you see i am just a Blogger like yourself and i also would like feedback and it’s people like you and me that people the blogs and write or advertise or whatever they do anyway hope to hear your doing well next time or next time ,it does’nt matter really. see ya’ bye
