No option for a static front page on my blog, but there is for my new one, why?
-
I’ve been running SquabbleBox for 6 months now and it’s going well, but I’ve always wanted to create a static page for the homepage…an option that ISN’T available under the “Reading” tag. However, for my new company-related blog, I do have the option. Could anyone explain to me why I can do it with one but not the other? I would like both to have a static homepage with a link the blog feed. Thanks.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I am the administrator and I’ve set the others back to contributors, but still don’t have the option to set a static front page. It’s just a little bizarre that I can do it with one blog but not the other lol

Log out, clear your browser cache and cookies, restart your browser and then take another look. It could be a cookie or caching issue with your browser.
If the above does not work, try a different browser to see if it is browser related.

It still isn’t working, tried both suggestions, but thanks for replying. It looks like I’m stuck with it!

The option won’t appear until you actually have published pages to set as your static front page. You currently have 0 pages.

Well that makes sense. :)@skip2theend
If you do not want all the posts to show on the front page, then you can create a static front page for your site. You must create two pages. One will be come the static front page. The other will become a “blog” page for your posts to display on. http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/
