No option for free domain?

    I’m trying to create a new blog but the only domain options I’m being offered (apart from a video-specific one which is irrelevant to my subject) are paid ones.

    Does WP no longer offer free .wordpress.com domains anymore?

    They definitely still offer free .wordpress.com domains. Perhaps the one you’re trying to use has already been used by someone before? In that case it wouldn’t be listed because it is no longer available even if the previous site has been taken down. Try other domains, even just as a test, and see if .wordpress.com becomes an option.

    Try choosing “business” or “professional” at step one rather than “blog” which nowadays usually offers you a free .something.blog domain.
