No option to edit homepage / homepage shows up as customlink in menu rather then an actual page.

    Hi
    I recently started a new word press site however unlike my previous WP sites i have no actual home page and no option to edit it. when i try to add it to a menu it only shows up as a custom link and not an actual page (even when i set static home page) like my previous sites. this has only happened since the newest update. Has anyone ran into this same situation and is there a workaround?
