No option to set blog as front page
-
Hi, hoping someone can help me figure this out!
I activated the Cubic theme
https://wordpress.com/theme/cubic/tipofthediceberg.wordpress.com
I want my home/front/landing page or whatever it’s called to be like the picture, with all my posts like little square images you can click on to go to that specific posts page and read it.
In my “Site Pages”, I have…
Blog posts
Blog page is showing your latest posts (and it has the icon to open in a new window/tab)Then separately underneath is a post with no title which is set as the front page and under that another page called blog which says “your latest posts” both of these have the three dots to edit.
If I click on the Blog Posts at the top, it opens in a new window, which is laid out exactly like I want it.
If I click on the front page or the blog page, they are just like normal blog posts with no structure, one thing just follows the next up and down the page.
I can’t figure out why blog and blog posts aren’t the same thing, why I can’t delete the unnamed and blog pages and just have the blog posts at the top (which is exactly and the only thing I want) or why I can’t make the top blog posts thing the home page.
I also want to know if there is a way to keep 1 specific post the first square on the page, but at the moment I feel like I should just ditch this whole blog idea altogether!
Help!
Thanks in advanceThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Okay! I think I figured it out.
I managed to trash the two pages by going into them and editing them.
Now, can anyone help me figure out a way of keeping the post about me/intro to the blog, the first one? Like how to pin it to the top left corner?
Thanks!

Hello florentynabutler,
Every theme has different types of setup. If your theme don’t have extra landing page, the blog posts comes to the front page by default. If you want to show the pictures, you have to add the picture as a featured image.
If you don’t know how, here is the tutorial: Set Feature Image
I cannot check your blog as it is private. Hope this will help you.
Cheers
