No option to upload my own theme

  I’ve downloaded a theme to my computer. But when I go to the screen on the WP dashboard where I should be able to add it, (Appearance- themes) the add button doesn’t exist. The only option is to search themes and toggle through trending, popular and newest

  Hello,

  You didn’t provide the URL of your web site, but if your web site has a URL such as example.wordpress.com, the only themes you can use are those you find in the Themes section here on WordPress.com.

  To upload and use some other theme, you should use the self-hosted version of WordPress…you can read more about that here:
  https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
