no picture showing up on link when I post to social media

  When I post my blog to my facebook page there is no picture or media showing up with the link. Although this is not crucial the picture makes it more eye catching and people are more likely to read. Anyone know why it is doing this? When i post the link on watsapp the picture is appearing on the link. Thanks

  Social media icons can be displayed on your site in different ways. These small social media buttons link to services like Twitter and Facebook, allowing visitors to quickly access your social profiles.
  Some themes offer a special custom menu (https://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/) for adding your social media icons, and this page explains how to set up that type of social links menu in themes that support the method, like Twenty Sixteen, Button, Intergalactic, Illustratr, and Ubud.

  Hi @laurasotjourney,

  Facebook stores temporary content in its cache to enable faster loading. Chances are you might have updated the image which was not appearing while sharing. You can force Facebook to update its cache using the debug developer tool. I updated your first post to appear correctly. You can learn more about it here:

  You can just post the URL in the debug after clicking on “Debug” you can then click on “Scrape Again”.
