  I get these messages on my week old blogs and I don’t know if the Pinging is working or not. Everything seems to be in place –

  This is the wordpress.COM support forum. We do not have FTP access to our blogs and cannot install individual plugins into them. Our blogs are equipped with pingomatc and when we publish or edit and upddate the pinging is automatically done for us.

  Please familiarize yourself with the differences between gre blogs being free hosted by wordpress.COM and fre software installs from wordpress.ORG > http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  Thank you for your reply. I have installed – MaxBlogPress ping optimizer which has been highly recommended to be used. Do you recommend that this plugin should be removed and let the WordPress run as insatlled? i’m in the dark in this subject

  wordpress.com blog linked to username is “nameless”
  post content contains zero substance
  all “posts” appear to have one purpose only (redirect to 3ed part sites) as they contain only the titles of articles and links to them on other sites

  Ping spamming and spamdexing has become problematic. We now have bloggers who write 150 words about their cat, assign an abundance of totally irrelevant categories to it and publish.Then they use a list of multiple ping services to spam everyone and their dog so we all know they published something. [she rolls her eyes]

  Next on their list is Twitter, Facebook and all the other social networks where they and spam the crap out of them too. I have witnessed people who have conniption fits about their duplicate blog content not being posted to their ‘wall” .

  The reverberating noise of duplicated content everywhere is poisoning the blogosphere and diluting the relevancy of search engine results. When and where will it end?
