No plug directory in tool in my dashboard.

No plug in directory tool in my dashboard. I am using a customized template through Word Press called Crafty. One forum at WP.org said Plug-ins aren’t available with customized templates?? I paid to upgrade why can’t I use plug-ins? I want to add Follow me on Pinterest Button and Pin IT button (not available as Widgets!)

Why must I be a CSS program writer to do anything on WP? And go to another website for help. I even downloaded http://wordpress.org/plugins/pinterest-follow-button/installation/ Without a Plug In directory it’s worthless.

How about some CSS video tutorials for us new people. How about telling us if we use a custom template you can’t add plug ins?

GoDaddy has real people to talk to for help. WP tech support is awful for someone new to blogging. I would never recommend it to anyone trying to start their first. What the heck does the average person know about CSS?

    Hi there,

You’ve reached support for the free sites hosted at WordPress.com. To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities. At WordPress.com, we provide hosting, support, and tons of features for blogs. Users also have the option to purchase a variety of upgrades to customize the look and feel of their blog. WordPress.org is a software for self-hosted sites. With WordPress.org, users are provided access to all backend files and can upload custom themes and plugins – so it can be a bit more difficult for new bloggers than WordPress.com.

Check here to learn more about the difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org:

    WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

It is not possible to install plugins on WordPress.com, for security reasons. Plugins can only be installed on self-hosted WordPress blogs.

In order to add the Pinterest button you can do that by going to Settings > Sharing in your Dashboard. You can find more information about that here.

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions!

    Recap for clarity:
There are two types of Word Press Blog accounts.
    1. Word Press .com
    2. Word Press.org

So what you are saying I have the wrong kind of WordPress account and will NEVER be able to add a plug-in.

How do I get a refund and move my blog to GoDaddy?

    HI there,

Exactly what kind of plugin are you looking for? WordPress.com has a lot of built-in features that were inspired by popular plugins. Chances are, the feature you are looking for is already there. You can search our support site via this link:

    Home

For any features on WordPress.com, the support page will explain how to set it up.

However, if none of those options work for you, I can provide you a full refund for WordPress.com Premium and the Domain mapping upgrade. Please note that you have the domain: happyhomemakerblog.net attached to your WordPress.com Premium upgrade. Do you want to completely cancel this domain?

Canceling this domain means you completely give up ownership of the domain. There is no guarantee the domain will become available to re-register after cancellation.

You are welcome to keep your domain with us and update the nameservers to point to another hosting provider by following this guide:

    Change a Domain’s Name Servers

After 60 days from the date of purchase or registrant contact information change, you may also transfer your domain to another registrar by following this guide:

Transfer a Domain to Another Registrar

If you want to keep the domain but cancel all the other upgrades of WordPress.com Premium I can provide you a partial refund of $73 so you can keep the domain. Or, I can completely cancel the domain as well and provide you a full refund. Please let me know how you would like to proceed.

I am looking specially for :

Follow me on Pinterest and Pin It buttons to show up underneath Follow Me on Facebook button on left side.

    Happyhomemaker.us

How and where do send I my final decision in regards to what type of cancellation I decide?

You can add a Follow me on Pinterest button by using an Image Widget. You can use this image and link it to your pinboard.

You can also add a embed a Pin it button to any post/page by using this support guide.

If you still want to cancel, please reply to this thread with the details and I can take care of it for you.
