No Plug-in Menu – HELP!

    Hi,
I have been spending hours trying to figure out how to add a new plugin to my site. I read many article on your help page, and tried various methods… As it turns out, I was putting the information in the wrong areas because in fact, I do not have a Plug-in Menu in my dashboard.

I would really appreciate an answer as to how to get it back, or how to download it if that is what I need to do. Thanks!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

http://jenniferkvoss.wordpress.com/ will never have a Plugin Menu – Plugin’s are not allowed on WordPress.COM for security & reliability reasons

For more on the difference: http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

What fancy Plugin can’t you live without? Many Plugin’s are built into WordPress.COM, they are called Widgets & Short Codes

Hi, Thanks so much for responding!

Wow, I feel silly for not realizing that difference was the initial problem.

What I am trying to do is create a photo gallery on a page to use as a thumbnail directory for recent posts. I have successfully created the gallery, however I am unable to edit where each picture links to when it is clicked on.

From the research I did, it appears that there is a fix to this using a plug-in (through WordPress.org) but I am wondering if there are any ways to work around this on WordPress.com. I would rather not need to transplant my entire site to .org.

Some themes have the built in grid that shows a single picture that links to a Post – easy with the correct theme – others know more about the themes & I can’t remember the theme name

Best bet it to open a new thread and ask for that ability in the title – that makes it easy for someone to see what you need
