  I have no plug in option on my wordpress blog and I wanted more specific site stats, please help?

  We cannot use plugins here on WordPress.com. Note that there are different flavors of WordPress, and if you must have plugins, then you must consider self-hosting with WP.ORG:

  If you are a real newbie, then I’d suggest you start with WordPress.com. You can always export your blog later to WordPress.org, when you have experience and a following.

  You’ll need to pay a company to host your blog (note that a blog is a special kind of website), software to set up your site (wp.org offers excellent and free software), buy a domain name, probably invest in a theme (which might be free or not), plugins (which might be free), backup services (because if your self-hosted site crashes, it’s all up to you to fix it), perhaps a site designer, and so on…

  There are a few not flash not script hit counters we can use here on WordPress.com. One is whoseamongus. Here is some info about it:

  Ok that’s great thank you. All I really wanted extra in the stats was people’s locations, so I can see what parts of the country yet are coming from…

  I’ve been using that one and you can see a live feed. It’s been a long time so I don’t remember how I got the code which works here. It cannot contain flash or script.
