    Hello there,

I realize that you’re trying to integrate an eCommerce solution to your WordPress.com business account. At the moment, WooCommerce integration is not available for WordPress.com (but it may come soon in the future – now that the awesome folks at Automattic have acquired WooCommerce). Currently, eCommerce platforms like Ecwid and Shopify (which is used by companies like Tesla Motors and Forbes) are supported with your WordPress.com business plan.

    More on the same here:

The confusion you’ve had about plugins is because, WooCommerce is for a different version of WordPress – the self hosted one available at WordPress.org.

The platform that you’re currently using is the hosted version of WordPress – where you don’t have to worry about hosting or other technical nuances. In the self-hosted version of WordPress, you will have to purchase a hosting package and install the WordPress software in it. This version of WordPress offers some customization (like choosing plugins and themes), but may not be suitable for all.

To know more about the differences between both versions of WordPress, please visit this link:

I hope I have answered your question. Please feel free to get back here if you face any further issues. :)

    – Hari.
