No plug ins on my dashboard even though I'm hosted by serverbeach?

I don’t see any plugs in on my dashboard even though I upgraded to a domain external to wordpress. The only reason I did this was so that I could use plug ins. Does anyone know how to get the tab on my dashboard or if it’s possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

http://thecelticpup.com/ – is hosted by WordPress.COM (here) – domain mapping does not change the hosting, nor does buying the domain name outside of WordPress.COM

To get plugin’s, you need to get your own host and install the WordPress.ORG software

Thank you auxclass that is very helpful. Is there further cost involved in this? I am not the most technically savvy with code but would like to install google ad sense, or some other advertising software, to potentially earn some income from my blog as I feel like I am gaining a significant audience and would also just like to gain some experience in the onlone advertising arena.

You can apply for WordAds since you have a mapped domain name – that is a revenue sharing program with WordPress.COM – should be a link in your dashboard to apply I think –

note you need a lot of traffic to make even beer & pizza money with any ad program – I have not seen any numbers but suspect that around 100,000 page views a year would get you a couple of large pizzas

yes if you want to move off WordPress.COM it will cost you – figure $15.- to $25. / month depending on the host, plan and traffic limits
