No Plugin option
-
I wanted to install a plugin on my blog but I don’t have that option on my panel. Why is that?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Because plugins are not allowed on blogs at wordpress.COM for security reasons. Plugins are for self-hosted blogs using the software from wordpress.ORG.

What Plug-in or functionality did you want? There are many Widgets that take the place of Plug-in’s and in many other cases there are work arounds or other built in ways to do what many Plug-in’s do.

I have the same problem as Claudia. Can I have a WordPress.org blog and just deactivate my WordPress.com site?
-
Whatever you want; they are entirely independent.
I will tell you, however, that switching just so you can get plugins is not wise.
If you know what you want to ACCOMPLISH, tell us and we can probably tell you how to make it happen at WordPress.com. That will preserve your Google rank and SEO. If you move, you start over from zero and there is no combination of plugins and SEO techniques that will make your external site outrank an equivalent site here on WordPress.com.

I would like to post videos I have hosted on my own internet server. I am reading that I need to have a plug-in to do this. Is it true I need a plug-in?
Thanks
