No Plugin Tab on my Dashboard
-
Hi! I just recently upgraded my website by buying a domain and DNS mapping directly here at WordPress. However, I noticed I do not have any Plugin Tab or option on my admin page. Please help!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

There is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.COM blogs and we cannot install individual plugins into them They are for wordpress.ORG installs which run on different software.

http://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/Please read > WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org” The Differences > http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

If your tell us what you wanted the plugin to do we may be able to suggest a widget or workaround that will achieve what you want.
Also note that your blog is taking a long time to load because you have so many images and posts on the front page. You can reduce the number of posts appearing on your front page here > Settings > Reading
Blog pages show at most__posts
Click “Save Changes”You can also split text in your posts on the front page by inserting “the more tag”. The result will be excerpts on your fronts page followed by “read more” links your readers can use to view full posts on their own page. http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/more-tag/

timethief, thanks for the information especially about suggestions on my webpage.
Regarding my wordpress account. I don’t think it is considered a “Free” wordpress account since I had to pay $17.00 for the 1st year? I just need clarification as I am new to these stuff. Thanks

I have purchased domains and domain mapping for my blogs from WordPress.com. I read the instructions and clearly understood that the web hosting was free of charge and I was paying for was exactly what it states a domain and domain mapping for one year. This is what’s stated in the documentation. I guess you didn’t read it.
Before Upgrading – Important Notes
Same Rules Apply – The Domain Mapping Upgrade does not enable the permission to use advertising, any kind of prohibited code, or upload additional themes or plugins. With the upgrade, your blog will still be hosted here at WordPress.com, which means that you will not have FTP access to your files and you will still be required to abide by our Terms of Service. http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/ -
-
I suggest you familiarize yourself with WordPress.com’s advertising policy first:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/advertising/ -
What’s the code and did you make the items in the store yourself? Because if not, you’re out of luck because reselling is against the terms of service.
-
-
Selling sermons? Surely you go to Hell for that? But it’s not against the terms of service if you wrote them.
What is the exact code? Put it here between backticks, so it displays properly. Then we can analyze it and see if it will work here.
-
So, knowing that we would be allowed to sell, is there a widget for an online store then?
-
-
Oh. I thought you had an online store.
No, there is none here, because WP.com is not optimized for ecommerce. You can make one in a text widget, though, and link it to your Amazon store or whatever.
-
BTW – we only sell them for $5… basically just the cost of making them (including man hours)
-
hmmm… Ok.. thanks for the help… I’m a little handy with code and just learned about .org, so I’m loading it as we speak on my hosting site…
Thanks for the help!

YOu’re welcome. WP.ORG is optimized for ecommerce and you’ll find lots of helpful plugins.
