no plugins on my dashboard

  I’ve been looking on my dashboard for plugins, but there doesn’t seem to be any. Can anyone tell me how to find them?

  I’d like to recommend that you read this comparison so you are crystal clear on the differences between free hosted WordPress.com blogs and self hosted WordPress.org install > http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  There is no FTP access and we bloggers cannot install any plugins into WordPress.com blogs.

  FTP access, plugins and third party themes are available only for VIP bloggers http://vip.wordpress.com/our-services/ or for those with WordPress.ORG installs. WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate. if you require plugins you hire a web host http://wordpress.org/hosting/ and set up your own WordPress.org install. http://wordpress.org/ Then you can move your content from the free hosted WordPress.com blog into the WordPress.org install. http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/
