no plugins on wordpress.com?

I want to install this google analytics plug in, can i not do that with a .com wordpress blog?

Can i switch to a .org? What’s the difference?
I’m going to have a new domain soon, but I want to run wordpress on it. Will I be able to use this google anayltics plugin then?

Plugins are a feature only available for self-hosted blogs provided through WordPress.org. We don’t allow plugins on WordPress.com for security reasons.
