No postal code available from Prepaid card, how to renew?

  I dont have a postal code for a prepaid card, so I cant renew the domain and site. I want to use my prepaid card to pay for this service but VISA doesnt issue a postal code for the card.

  Hi there,

  For prepaid cards, you should be able to register them online and include a billing address. That will allow you to make online purchases using the billing zip code. Can you check the back of the card to see if there are instructions on registering it online?

  Thank you, t he issue I think was mainly because it was a foreign cc.

  I have solved it by asking a friend in North America to make t he purchase for me.

  However, is t here another way for the future to verify the cc? The security number should be more than enough…

  Hi there,

  When you say “CC”, are you referring to a credit/debit card or a VISA prepaid gift card? For the former, you’ll need the zip code of the billing address. For the later, you’ll need to register it online to add a billing address. Does that make sense?

  It does, but in Japan it’s not necessary to register an address for the virtual card so needing a postal code creates problems. Even the bank said they had never had this issue.
