No "Posts Page" in Dropdown on Reading Settings

  I am trying to change the Front Page Display settings on the Reading Settings page. I select the “A static page” radio button and choose my About Page for the Front Page from the dropdown. However, when I go to the dropdown for the Posts Page the only option is About. There is no Posts item in the Posts Page dropdown. Why not? How can I fix this? I do have a posts page and it shows up just fine when I go to my site.

  You have to first create and publish a page to use as your “posts” page.
