No previous or next page tab on blog page

Well I increased my post entries on the blog to 25, then the previous entries came back, but when set to 9, there is no previous entries available, strange.
-
I’ve noticed this happening randomly on one of my blogs as well, but not on the other. It is something that has happened before. I would suggest contacting support.

The same is happening to me. I set mine at 6 posts on the front page, but the previous post button disappeared. I knew they were still there because when I clicked on the archives by date, they showed, but it obviously made the navigation complicated for the visitors… which is not desirable.
I tried changing the theme, changing the number of posts.. didn’t work.
Please let me know if you figure something out!

This is something WordPress staff is going to have to chase down, and it was an intermittent problem before the big upgrade, so I’m not sure when they will get it fixed. I would contact staff via the support tab about it.

Well, I was hoping for an answer, but knowing I’m not alone helps. One blog has no “next/previous,” but the other does. Unfortunately, Support is closed for the weekend. Sigh. I’ll try to reach them on Monday.

anyone know the code to put the “older entries” and “newer entries” at the bottom of the pages?
i found the css codes at the “theme editor” header.php
but i don;t have any idea how to put them in the bottom pages. -
wiryanta – We don’t have access to the header.php file at wordpress.com. You need to ask your question at wordpress.org.

I’m using Tarski. When I am logged in (firefox) the ‘previous entries’ tab shows at the bottom, but when I am logged out it isn’t there!?!?!?!?

Here’s a fix. Take the last entry on your blog and click to edit it. Then save it and your previous and next links will appear again.

That’s a quick fix, but when I am on my blog and not logged in, there is still no ‘previous entries’ link. So visitors won’t have access either. Any other thoughts or suggestions?

Don’t increase your post entires to 25 because it will just make it harder for your page to load if you have lots of content. A quick fix as others have mentioned is edit your latest post but don’t change anything and just save it. The next page link will show on archives, categories & tags page, and if you click your calendar. I wrote a post once telling regulars about the problem and to check either my site’s RSS feed or calendar if it happens.
