no profile picture selected but it keeps showing up?

  there’s no picture displayed in my wordpress profile but there’s always an old picture of me shown whenever i comment on any wordpress powered blog. how can i fix this? i really don’t know where it’s been saved or even where it is coming from but i don’t want it to keep showing up! obviously i must have uploaded it at some point in time – still, i have no idea where it’s coming from.

  Dashboard>Settings>General is where the blog picture is located so have a look and see if that’s where it’s coming from, or Dashboard>Users>My Profile if it’s a Gravatar Image. If it’s linked to an email address then it’s a Gravatar Image.

  thank you very much for your quick answer.

  unfortunately, i couldn’t find the profile picture on either of these sites – neither the general settings on my blog nor the gravatar settings on my account were the source of that image, they were both without any image at all.

  another strange detail: i didn’t use the email address that is linked to wordpress for my recent comment on another blog (where the picture showed up) which is the strangest thing since i only have this one wordpress account.

  i haven’t used wordpress in years which is probably why this happened, i just can’t remember how and where this picture might be saved on their servers when it’s not selected for either of the profile sites.

  well i just checked the account again and at least now i know how my profile here is linked to my new email address: i had it selected as an additional email address..

  is it possible that the picture – wherever it’s from – won’t keep showing up when i delete my new email address from this account? because that’s the address that i used for commenting and it shouldn’t be linked to wordpress any more when i delete it, right?

  i just found it and i’m sorry for my confusion.

  just for the record: the picture was linked to my (new) email address in my global gravatar profile via gravatar.com and there i could delete it easily.

  thanks anyways ;) this topic is resolved.
