No publicize to facebook option

Publicizing to facebook hasn’t been working for the last week or so. I would select the option but nothing would happen or it would tell me a connection could not be made. But now I have noticed I no longer have the option to select “publicize to facebook” on new posts. Will that feature come back for wordpress.com users?
