No Quicktag Icons showing up in New Post or Pages

  Even though I have checked the box in Options – Writing for “Users should use the visual rich editor by default” NO QUICKTAG ICON SHOW UP. Help?

  I don’t use the visual rich text editor myself but you could see if these threads are helpful. The second one has been added because of the subject matter in the other thread you posted to as well. http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/05/15/what-do-all-the-icons-mean/

  I found this in the FAQ:

  We’ve had a few people ask for a blockquote button in our new slick WYSIWYG editor. (Which currently crashes Safari.)

  Which explains it – I am using Safari. A quick change to Firfox, and wa-la!

  Just for reference, John is discussing a blog not hosted here at wp.com. If that is true (I’m not seeing the blue bar along the top when I view the site), we need you to be over at http://wordpress.org as you’re running different software than what we have here at wp.com.
